Curt grew up in Wisconsin, and moved to New York City in 2007. After starring in the new musical THE FLAMINGO KID (with music by DREAMGIRLS composer Henry Krieger), Curt found himself on Broadway in the closing cast of HAIRSPRAY. He was then cast in the Nickelodeon’s BIG TIME RUSH, which included choreography from Tyce Diorio. During that time he recorded with producers like Jay Landers, Matthew Gerrard, Robbie Nevil, Bryan Todd, and the legendary Desmond Child. Curt then continued with theatre in Los Angeles in the Center Theatre Group’s production of PARADE, starring T.R. Knight. On the heels of this he found himself in his second Broadway show, the Pulitzer Award winning NEXT TO NORMAL. He then toured North America with NEXT TO NORMAL opposite of Tony Award winner Alice Ripley. He remained on the road with the hit Broadway show WICKED as Fiyero, and then as Charlie Price in KINKY BOOTS. In 2018, he starred in WICKED on Broadway as Fiyero in NYC. During his time in NYC Curt participated in dozens of developmental workshops of new Broadway shows, including CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2, and the title role in MAGIC MIKE: THE MUSICAL, to name a few. Curt now resides in Denver, Co with his wife Mallauri and their incredible daughter Swayze. Teaching and spreading the joy of singing is what Curt does now, and he couldn't be happier to share all of his knowledge that he has obtained throughout his career, with you.
